redgamma 3 redcolor 3
Posted by Chris Larsen on September 21, 2012 at 5:42 amI’m using cs6 premiere pro. I am in the source settings tab with some scarlet footage and there are no options for REDColor3 and REDGamma3… I’m still fairly new to premiere, how do I install the latest color science options?

September 21, 2012 at 2:19 pmI found the plug-in.
https://labs.adobe.com/technologies/redepic_importer/
This is a manual installation. I had to replace 2 files
in the package contents of the application (right click the application and select show package contents). Make sure to copy your old importer and bundle files before you replace anything in case you encounter problems.
Instructions are forCS6 only and Mac platform
ImporterREdserver
right click on premier pro CS6 select package contents navigate to the folder namedcontents>
Copy original to different location and replace with new version.
Importerredserver
right click on premier pro CS6 select package contents navigate to the folder named package contents contents>plug-ins>common>
copy original to different location and replace with new version.
Launch Premiere Pro and test a clip in the source settings window.

December 7, 2012 at 5:25 pmHi.
How do I get RedColor3 and RedGamma3 to work in PP on Windows 7 x64?
I tried the “ImporterRed” and “ImporterRedServer” from Adobe labs – as linked – but after placing the files in the PP directories I can no longer preview the R3D files at all. And when I go to “Source settings” there is still no “RedColor3” option to chose from the drop down menue.
I replaced the “ImporterRed” file already placed in “”C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Premiere Pro CS6Plug-insCommon”” with the new downloaded one.
And for the “ImporterRedServer” I place it under “”C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Premiere Pro CS6″”
What am I doing wrong?
