I posted this problem at another part of the forum but i might find a better answer here…

I have a problem with transitional effects while authoring Blu Rays.
    Here is my work flow:

    Final Cut Pro 7
BORID Red Plugin (for the effects)
EXPORT SETTINGS: Quicktime Movie – Self Contained
    AUTHORING TOOL: Toast Titanium 11
    Mpeg4 AVC
    Bit Rate: 8-16 mbps
    Motion est: Best, Half PEL
    rest is auto.

when I play the Blu Ray all of the transitional effects are unsmooth and laggy.
    Any Suggestions?

    Hi,

I’m not 100 percent sure of what the cause of this problem may be, but I have a few things to offer for suggestions, some of which you may have already tried but it’s worth a shot.

    • make sure to set the RED transitions / effects to full quality and full resolution before rendering
    • make sure that the timeline is rendered fully and plays back smoothly before going to DVD
    • if you are using apple compressor this might be related to the issue – try doing it bypassing compressor
    • disable opengl setting in RED

I hope one of these suggestions helps.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
