    FCP 6.6 (Upgrading to 7 soon for upcoming project)

    Injesting through Log and Transfer. In tests, I’m getting Apple Pro Rez 422 HQ into my machine at a data rate of 26 mbs, the frame size is 2k. I checked a white paper and the data rate for this codec was supposed to be over 200 mbs. Am I wrong here? My R3Ds are fine, shot 4k originals.

    What’s the data rate you guys know about for this codec? Is injest different in FCP 7 in regards to data rate?

    Thanks.

    that should be right.

    8mbps = 1MBps

    so 220mbps = 27.5MBps.

    i think you’re confusing mbps and MBps. mbps is megabits per second, while MBps is megabytes per second. the difference is 8 bits = 1 byte

    Thanks Robert. Yes, sounds like I was confused. Easy to be with so similar naming conventions.
