  Red square during capture

  Hey All,

  I’ve ran into a little problem with FCP 6.0.6 and was wondering if anyone else had encountered this as well.

  When I try to capture DV footage a red box appears in the capture window and only a small portion of the video being ingested is visible. I had this happen a few times with HDV video as well. See photo for reference.

  

  After the capture, I check the footage and it looks fine, so it must just be a problem with the preview in the capture window, right?

  Has anyone had this problem? or know how to correct it?
