  • Red on chapter markers FCP 6

Really basic this, I’m sure, but I can’t figure it out.

Using FCP 6 and when I add chapter markers to one particular sequence, and the playhead is on the marker, the right-hand side of the green marker is red. Can’t find anything in the literature (‘though I’m sure it must be there) – what does it actually mean? It’s not appearing in any of the other sequences I add chapters to.

    Thanks,

    Andy

Zoom in and see if, perhaps, you have 2 markers at the same time. I don’t think having two colors affects anything. You can color markers any way you wish. Although, it is strange if a single marker has two colors.

    Hi,

Definitely not two markers. Only on this one sequence. The red mark appears when I insert a marker, and disappears when I remove the playhead, but reappears when I replace the playhead on the marker. Bizarre. FCP 6.

Quite strange, I agree. I’m mostly using FCPX now, but I don’t recall ever seeing this with FCP since v4.
