Is it possible to precede generated numbers with a symbol, for instance a dollar sign? Just wondering, already worked around.

Interesting question. No I do not think so. There is no way to fix the first character of a random text. You can obviously work around this with compositing.

That’s just what I did, because Red so so great! Perhaps consider incoporating into Red 5? When the digit’s change from 3 to 4, it gets a little tricking making the $ tracking look clean, but it works. Thanks for getting back to me.

I use Red in my FCP timeline – a lot. Any chance 5 will render faster?

    Cheers!

You mean how everything shifts horizontally? Yeah, it would be nice to have a way to justify the row so that everything stays locked on either the left or right sides. Default behavior seems to be to just expand equally on both sides of the numbers line in order to keep it centered on screen.
