  Red lines on .psd after adjusting levels

  I want to make a drop shadow that is not affected by a lens flare in my video so I duplicated my .psd and added the levels filter to it. i made the black 255 so it would show up completely black (like a shadow) and then offset the words so it looked like a drop shadow. When i started to move the .psd it got red and yellow lines on the black psd. What causes this or how do I remove them? I did a test render and they still showed up in the render.
