Mark, first, add your emitter to the stage, then open Properties. Don’t touch the “tint” tab, just click on the Particles tab, and then click on the “colors” tab.
The bar at the bottom shows the “color over life” of the emitter. Click on one of the sliders, and then click on the color wheel and select the color you want. You may have to click on every silder and change the color each time until the total emitter color is what you want.
Important to do this after you’ve added the emitter to the stage. That way, when you click on “add to library”, you can save your modified emitter in its new colors, without overwriting the original emitter.
