    Hello,

I am new at using a Mac with Final Cut Pro and Red.

I am NOT being able to use Red in a transition in Final Cut Pro.

I have printed the steps to be followed from Boris, but after I can see Red’s window with the Red’s banner, inside Final Cub Pro, if I click on the banner, nothing happens.

I would like to be able to:
1-. See the different options for transitions from Red inside Final Cut Pro. At the present time, I can not do that.
2-. Apply the selected transition in FCP’s Timeline. I can not do that either.

    Help!

    Thanks for the info.

    Hi,

It might be that you did not position the play-head in the timeline of FCP in the transition area before clicking on the RED banner. If you are not positioned in the transition area when you click on the banner then the interface will not launch. This is a limitation of the Apple FCP API and not something that can be controlled by Boris RED.

    Hope this helps,

    Peter.

Also check your RED version. I was having serious problems with FCP/RED combo until I loaded the update as Peter had suggested.
