This is unrelated to my post one down.

I am editing a feature length documentary on FCP 6.0 (TRT: 1:26) and I am finding that often when I open the project lately when the sequence comes up in the canvas it is entirely red with “Display unavailable. Close and reopen window to restore.” This is anywhere I click in the sequence and it also won’t play.

I’ve shut down. Deleted prefs. PRAM. The only thing I find that sort of works is copying the sequence and pasting it into another sequence. But that is a pain and it is filling my bins up with sequences every other day.

    Any ideas?

You need to set the Canvas window to RGB instead of alpha sounds like. It’s found in the third oval button just over the picture in the Canvas.
