Gerald Wenner is an independent director and Director of Photography. His early independent films include the experimental film, “As Above” winner of the Judge’s Prize Award at the Sinking Creek Film Festival (Nashville Film Festival) and a feature length documentary “Essie” winner of the Blue Ribbon Award American Film Festival. In the mid -80’s, Gerald formed Planet Pictures, an award winning music video production company based in Los Angeles. As a director-DP, working in music videos and commercials. Since Planet, he has produced and directed the feature comedy “Cut & Dry”. Currently, Wenner is working exclusively with the as an independent Director of Photography. As a director, he is currently at work on a documentary project. Wenner also teaches part time at the School of Visual Art in New York City.
He has directed over 400 music videos and indie films.
