    Hi,

I’ve been on CC now for a few months, and didn’t even notice till today that my Red Giant stuff is not pulling up under my effects tab. Did a few searches on some blogs, but there’s a lot of stuff, that I’m just wanting more of short and sweet answer and not 20 step process, since everything is already installed, and also if there was a way to ensure not just my RG but all of my plugins are able to pull up in CC. Can I just copy and paste the entire plug-in folder to the location where CC program files are, in that idea?

    Thanks,

    Tom

I had the same problem happen when I switched from CS6 to CC. In my case making sure that the plugins were actually visible to CC still didn’t make them show up in PPro. Red Giant’s support, to their credit, battled it out with me, but finally ended up advising to uninstall then reinstall PPro CC, and then the plugins.

Normally this wouldn’t have been an issue, but since CC must be re-downloaded EVERY time you reinstall, and I happen to use an internet service that charges per bandwidth use, it can add up. Luckily, my service has a ‘free-zone’ from midnite til 5am, so there’s that.

    Good news is, it works.

You can always copy it manually from Common CS6 to CC in de Common directory.

Unfortunately, at least in my case, this didn’t help. The plugins were installed in the correct folder, and Red Giant support actually had me place the plugins in several different folders to see if it was a case of Premiere simply not seeing the plugins in a particular folder, but no matter where the plugins were located, Premiere would not load them.

As I said, only a reinstall of Premiere then the plugins worked. This actually happened 3 times, requiring 3 reinstalls. Now it seems to have calmed for, and it’s been a few months since Premiere has lost the ability to see Red Giant’s plugins.
