    Hello!

I’m trying to get a film grain look for my video and when I apply the grain, it looks good when I play the video in Premiere but as soon as I pause the video, the grain disappears. The grain also disappears when I export the video. I feel like I’m missing a simple setting here. What could I be doing wrong?

Are you exporting using Media Encoder or Premiere Pro? If Media Encoder, when you start it up do you see if your Red Giant plugins are loading on the splash screen? Also, make sure you uncheck “Import sequences natively” under Preferences>General in Media Encoder.

It’s normal not to see grain when the video isn’t actually playing in Premiere Pro. If you scrub the timeline you should see it, though.
