  • Red Giant Denoiser III broken under latest version of Windows

For anyone who cares, when my editing PC updated to the latest version of Windows 10 this week, Red Giant Denoiser III stopped working in Premiere. Any frame that has Denoiser III active won’t render as you edit, and if you start a render of the timeline, the render gets stuck at the first frame with Denoiser III active. Reverting to the previous version of Windows 10 fixed the problem.

Are there any updates available for the plugin?

I don’t remember being notified that Windows 10 updated recently but after reading your post I tried applying Denoiser III to a video clip. Well, Premiere Pro crashed in the weirdest way. I could still turn Denoiser on and off, delete it, add another plugin, but none of them actually affected the video, and the video stayed frozen, even after I deleted Denoiser. I actually had to reboot to get PPro to act normal again.

Found this for a previous update: replace 7.0 by 11.0, might work.

    -Close Premiere

-Move all folders from “C:/ProgramFiles/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore” to another location

-Start Premiere with “Shift” held down to clear out plugin cache/registry

-Put back one of the plugin folders and try to start Premiere again

    -Repeat for each folder

I think this trick worked for me. Didn’t had to rename to 11.0 tho.
