So I’m trying to figure out my workflow options for editing RED footage shot at 2K that I will be exporting to After Effects for compositing.

I’ve imported some footage through Log and Transfer which converted it to ProRes, which works fine, but I thought there was a way to bring the footage in using proxies and then export an XML for the AE guys to use the full res 2K files. I can’t find anything that outlines this process. I keep getting the ‘File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown’ error if I try to import any of the .R3D files.

I think I’ve downloaded and installed all of the codecs and plug-ins from RED’s website that I would need.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions,

    Keith

    Keith:

Did you ever figure out the workflow for RED files directly into After Effects?
