  Red flashes in Preview and Canvas Window

  Has anyone else seen this bug with red flashes when playing back in fcp 7.0.3? I googled the problem and found only this-https://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12897690 That soultion worked for short time then went back to flashing. Anyone know of a way to fix without restarting the Machine? Thanks

  OSX 10.6.6
  MacPro4,1
  Quad-Core Intel Xeon
  2.66 GHz
  One core
  6 GB-ram
  Graphics card-NVIDIA GeForce GT 120
