Has anyone here tried working with RED footage using Blackmagic cards? What was the experience like? I’m planning on getting one of the new Decklink HD Extreme cards introduced at NAB, and there is RED footage in my future, so I’m hoping it will be a decent combo for my Mac Pro.

    Thanks,
    David

RED works with Final Cut Pro 6.x.
There’s no support for Blackmagic Cards at the moment.

If you want video output you have to transcode to one of the Blackmagic-Settings (Uncompressed, DVCProHD, HDV, FJPEG …)

Is there any possibility that Blackmagic will support the RED codec in the future?
