    Whether I boot up the stand alone RED, or drop the RED filter onto a clip on the Premiere Pro timeline, RED always opens with the Library Browser window active. I would like to have RED open with the Composite window open/active. Window/Workspace is set to Standard. I have a custom workspace with the Library Browser closed, yet the Library Browner still opens on boot up. Is there a preference file I can trash?
    Thanks,
    Kuhnen

    Kuhnen,

    On OSX 10.9.5, there are actually two preferences files you are likely to find. The first one would simply be the ‘Boris RED 5 Preferences’, the other would be named “com.borisfx.app.Boris RED.plist”. With RED (and any NLE’s you have installed) closed, delete these two files. You can find them here –
    Macintosh HD :: Users :: [ Current User/Home ] :: Library** :: Preferences

    ** – Note that this Library folder is hidden by default on OSX 10.9 – to access it, you would either need to use the Go menu in the Finder, or enable view of hidden objects.

    Thanks,

    Jon
