  RED 2K Offline Multiclip

  Hi

  Okay I am trying to cut a music video shot on RED 2K which is too big for my machine to use and I am converting it to HD Pro Res 422 to edit. We are going to do the initial grade in Redcine-X Pro and then convert it to HD afterwards because of the colour options that the RED format offers. However our client has not decided on a grade yet and I need to get crackalakin on the cut.

  So I want to do an initial conversion without the grade to HD, edit that using the FCP multiclip feature and then relink the new graded clips once they become available. So in FCP there is no format change, just clip replacement. Can I replace clips in a multiclip with the new grade clips and what would be the most efficient way to do this?
