I’m pretty new to the After Effects world so I apologize if this seems like a silly question but I was curious if anyone knew of any techniques that could replicate a look similar to Thomas Wilfred’s Lumia art.

An example can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW67FXi8Tvo

I remember making stuff like this in Photoshop WAY back in the day with some plugins, but obviously that was static. The key here would be movement and this sort of evolving look.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks Dave.

I think what I might try is combining some smoke footage and using it as a track matte over some light leak footage, and see if I can create something similar.
