I have a MAJOR issue. I am working on Avid Adrenaline for Windows (v 2.7.5). Yesterday we had to do a Unity reboot. I saved throughout the day and backed-up twice (once before the reeboot and once and hour after the reboot). Today I came in to find out I lost everything I worked on yesterday! The modified date says the last save was at 10:42am yesterday morning. I automatically went to my backup (on the C drive) and opened both backups only to find those sequences were the same as the Unity sequence. I went to the Attic… same thing. I opened the backup projects directly from the C drive… ditto. I’m at a loss as to what happened. Then, the strangest part. I was looking in other bins and noticed that those bins reflected saves throughout the day. The only bin that didn’t update was my SEQUENCE bin. I always do SAVE ALL and when I exit a project it does a SAVE ALL. Has anyone heard of this before? Have I truly lost everything from my days work? Any suggestions? I’m desperate!

    Thanks,
    -Jason

Sorry, i can’t really help you, but i have had troubles in the past with bins named ‘sequences’.
My PERSONAL opinion is that there was a grumpy coder at Avid that pulled a sick joke. I have NO reproducable workflow to prove this, but in my shop it is forbidden to call a bin ‘sequences’. We use other names (mostly related to our language).
Even if this is really an (intended or not) bug, Avid will probably never admit it.

    So, follow your own path…

(and start rebuilding your work from scratch…)

Of course, there is always this backup util:

But since avid has decent backup strategies, it ‘should’ not be needed (and even although i’ve written this util, i don’t use it for Avid, as it always goes right, unless you call bins ‘sequences’….)

Could you (by any chance) been storying your project on the Unity?
