recovering from a corrupt file

May 31, 2005 at 4:28 pmTry importing it into an empty project, that sometimes works. Don’t expect to recover all work, though. There’s a good chance something still remains screwed. And next time you might wanna consider incremental save ;o).

May 31, 2005 at 7:09 pmoften people don’t even save when they have a chance because they say the file never opens and it just crashes AE again.
The secret is to turn the Caps Lock key on. This will prevent AE from trying to process whatever it is that is crashing it – and allow you to turn the effect off – switch OpenGL off – or simply move the Timeline indicator.
Then take the key off and you should be set to go.
This may work in your case – tho I’m not sure ‘how’ ur file is corrupted.
