I have a client that is sending audio files to me for editing and submitting to their web site. PROBLEM: The person’s voice who is recording the conversation is much louder than the incoming voices.

They are using a device called the Phone Logger by digital-loggers.com. Obviously, it’s for lawyers and after talking to their tech support it doesn’t have much control to it. The main issue appears to be the actual phone you use. Newer and better quality phones result it a better recording and may also allow you to lower the recorder’s voice.

So, we need another option. Any suggestions? Keep in mind, the client is doing the recording at their location, so a professional rig is probably over the top.
