    Hi,

I’m having trouble recording VO into FCP, I just can’t seem to get anything.

I have a microphone connected to an Eurorack UB1204-PRO mixer connected to the RCA in of a Blackmagic intensity card.

I get levels on the mixer, but nothing comes into FCP.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Do yourself a huge favor and buy a USB mic. The VO app in FCP simply does not do analog audio recording in my experience, but it just loves USB mics.

If you absolutely, positively have to make your present setup work, you’ll have to capture video, from a source such as video tape, to the BM card at the same time you’re recording the VO, and you’ll have to do it via Log and Capture.

If Quicktime recognises the Blackmagic card you could record a wild audio track with that, then import it into FCP. Bit of a PITA though.
