  • Recording VO in Premiere Pro (CC2014)

We have Win 7 machines with Realtek audio chipsets and BM Decklink cards (from the old tape days. You remember, don’t you?)

Haven’t had any cause for a while to record VO into the system, but I am going crazy trying to get it done.

No luck recording through the Decklink card. Win7 Control Panel perpetually states it is “currently unavailable” The Decklink software is set for 2 analog audio and 6 AES channels.

No luck plugging in a mic into the Realtek mic input.

I have tried both the Premiere VO function and the Capture window route without success.

What obvious configuration issues am I missing?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.
