Recording video with multi-channel audio
I have a situation where I need to take audio from three or four different sources while I am recording some live video. I’m recording the live video in clips due to the fact that I am filming a football game. Are recorded each play separately with the commentators audio and then some background audio as well. Can anyone recommend a recording device that I can either take the video from the camera or that can be triggered by the camera? It will be complete hell to try and sync up a couple hundred Clips each week.

If you are shooting with a portable/moving camera, it is problematic how do you get all those channels of audio out to the camera?
OTOH, for a stationary recorder scheme, a cost-effective solution would be to use something like a Blackmagic Audio to SDI Mini-Converter.
That gadget will let you embed four analog audio signals, (or eight digital audio signals) into an HD-SDI video stream. And with two of them in series, you could embed eight analog signals (or 16 digital audio signals).
Then you can record the HD-SDI video to a video recorder like the BlackMagic MyperDeck Studio or HyperDeck Studio Mini.
