    Hey there

    Client wants video from their event at 448×252 Prores422. Source will be either 1080i or 720p SDI. Would like to use my BMD Mini recorder or ultra studio to go thunderbolt into a mac to an external drive.

    So… the question is what software can i use to take a live HDSDI input, convert it to 448×252 and then lay it off to disk in real time. They want the records as soon as possible to get them on the web.

    I’ve never tried – but I wonder if Blackmagic Media Express can record in different frame sizes. I just tried opening it and it won’t let me change settings since I’m not plugged into my Ultra Studio. I’ll try it when I get into the office later.
