Recording test narrations into AVI
What would be the best way to connect a microphone into my AVID Media Composer for recording test narrations? It is running through a Mac Pro computer. In my older AVIDs I had a sound mix board that connected directly to the back of the computer, which was designed for that purpose. This new arrangement has been working fine, but I cannot figure the best way to input simple voice recording. I am sure that there is some easy way, but what is it???

A few different ways.
You can use the Audio Punch in Tool, or the Capture tool. Depends on what gear you have.
