June 21, 2012 at 7:46 pmIt really depends on what audio hardware you have, but you need to look in your soundcard’s mixer recording settings for something like “Stereo Mix” or “What You Hear”. Select that and set the record gain slider to whatever gives good record levels (on Vegas’s record level meters) – this is often maximum on the gain slider.

June 21, 2012 at 8:02 pmNo, this must be done on your soundcard’s mixer panel, or the Windows sound mixer app. Vegas has no control over where the sounds comes from, except for selecting which soundcard to record from if you have more than one card (eg motherboard sound and a firewire interface).
