    Hey Everyone,

    I’m pretty new to streaming.

What is your preferred method to capture a high quality wirecast stream? When I’m streaming and want to capture a high quality version locally as well, the system warns me about this.

Is it directly in the program(disregarding the warning). Or over NDI to another computer using their NDI window viewer recording option. or some other option?

I have a job coming up where I need to record the highest quality version locally and don’t want the stream to bog down online or the computer to crash due to overloading the system. I also can’t have dropped frames.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Alternatively, if Wirecast is not the best solution, I’m aware of Vmix as well, although I don’t use it currently.

Using Wirecast, record with Apple ProRes.

Otherwise use Wirecast Pro Blackmagic Video out to an external recorder.
