Is there any software out there that will let you “Play” written text and record the voice into a audio file? Kind of like the textedit program that comes with macs. You can type anything and click speak. The default “victoria” voices says what you have just written. I am looking for something that will sound less like a CPU and more natural.

Well, for that I suspect you’ll need less of a CPU, & more of a narrator! 😉

I’m afraid that any solution involving a CG voice will sound like it’s some sort of CG voice. If you’re looking for “gravitas”, then you’ll have to find a person who can provide the right amount.
