  recording shows of Directv

  I would like to take some of the recordings I have off Directv HD and somehow put them on a DVD for later viewing. I have a ADVC 300 box and a new MacBook Pro with Final cut studio on it. Ive tried to do it before but the quality of the video seems not to be good. It looks very grainy sometimes. Is there a better way to set it up. Im kind of new to Final cut pro
