I used the PIllusionrender to render a 1920×1080 project.
It was slower than the regular because, I am guessing, it is not using the graphics cards Open GL.
So to record faster, I changed my screen size to 2048×1536 and even though I had to scrool around the screen (I created the project in my native 1280×1024 but zoomed to see the whole frame) it rendered extreemly faster than PIRender.

So I was wondering if there is a way to disconnect the frame section of PI to span to another monitor?

Other wise I ethier live with this work around or buy a larger monitor.

    Thanks in advance,

You can’t undock the different windows. If using the larger virtual desktop works (even though you need to pan) why not use that for final renders?

pIRender will use hardware acceleration in the future. The Mac version of pIRender does already. So no need to buy a new monitor just for hardware acceleration.

Yes it works and the way I am using but the new PiRender sounds better 🙂

    Alan,
Will it play a sound file when it is finished rendering?
    Would be a nice feature.

    Take care,
