  • Recording at 30fps or 60fps to render at 30fps and upload to youtube?

    Hello,

I have asked a somewhat similar question here once before, however I would like to know if there is any benefit of recording my game play for YouTube at 60fps?

Will recording at 60fps vs 30fps make any difference if I render it out at 30fps?

    Thanks,
    Ken

They recommend to upload at your original fps.
Soon (?), YouTube will add support for 60fps for all users.

No, because when you render to 30fps every other frames is being thrown away so why even record them in the first place? There are only 2 reasons to shoot 60 fps. 1) You are delivering at 30 fps but want to create really smooth slow motion effects. 2) you are delivering at 60 fps. That’s it! Everything else is a waste of disk space, time, and processor power.

    Thanks for the help,
Now I can produce more content without taking up tons of hard drive space. 😀

    Thanks again
