  • Recorded on Sony V1U / Capture with Sony HDR-HC9 ?

I have HDV footage shot using the V1U (24pA). I am going to capture it into Final Cut Pro 6.0.5 using the Apple ProRes 422 settings. I don’t have the funds to rent a deck and don’t have the V1U anymore, so my question is will I get the same recorded quality if I upload the footage using a Sony HDV camcorder (HDR-HC9)? Or will it interlace and not look as good?

    Thanks for any input.

Give it a test try. It can’t hurt anything. Capture a couple of clips, place them on a timeline and see how it works. Please let us know how it goes.
