record scratch removal
When I started in the industry they were just introducing magnetic track for film. They hadn’t thought about video tape or non linear editing. We also had something called a sound department which did all the tricky stuff. So have pity on me please if I’m asking a daft question. I want to use some music from an old vinyl record in a video, sadly it is very crackly and I can’t get a fresh copy. Is any inexpensive yet effective click and pop removal software available for a mac? And is it possible to try it before purchasing.

Sound soap is pretty inexpensive. There are noise reduction elements of Soundtrack Pro.
