Record problem
The viewfinder and LCD are totally black when I turn on the CAMERA mode on my HVX200P. The previous footage is fine and can be played back. I fear I have accidentally changed a setting but have been unable to locate the problem. Wondering if anyone might have a solution. Thanks a lot.

.A couple of shot-in-the-dark guesses. Some are a bit insulting…just go with them.
Is the lens cover shutter in the lens shade open?
Is the iris setting closed completely by manual settings?
Is the ND filter in place?
Do you see color bars on the screen or viewfinder if they are activated?
What are your record setting? Format, FPS, so on.I have one of these cameras but haven’t used it in a few years. I’m going off of memory.
