I am trying to sing a song from a video (this video is an avi of a karaoke lyrics) but the song is too fast for me to sing to, how do I adjust the rate of the recording so I can sing this song?? I can adjust the playback rate to .75 but when I go to record it automatically adjusts itself back to 1.0!!! How do I get Sony Vegas to stay at .75 while recording???

That’s because what you are changing only affects preview playback. If you adjust the playback rate of the clip, it WILL slow down. Right-click the audio event, choose Properties, and adjust the playback rate there. You will then need to make the event longer to get the complete song.

Any easier way to do that is to hold down the CTRL key and make the event longer. That will adjust the playback rate for however long you make it.

can I adjust it back to the original speed afterwards as well as making my voice adjusted (so it sounds like I am actually singing it just as fast)???
