In order to make space on one hard drive I moved some media to another drive. Of course, the next time I opened the prject I had to reconnect the media. This was not a problem. The problem was that I was not able to reconnect the render files. How do I reconnect the render files?

You mean when you launched the project you weren’t asked to find the render files? That’s odd. There are so many things that can prevent FCP from finding files. You sort of try one thing after another. Try this first: Make sure the prefs are set to find you new render file scratch disk.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Thanks for your reply. FCP did ask me to reconnect, but did not identify the render
    files.

not sure what you mean by the above. Please explain.
