Reconnecting media in batches
I’m presently reconnecting media (after having transferred to new disks) to some old timelines with footage captured with Panasonic P2 cards (HVX 200).
I find I have to manually reconnect each clip, instead of reconnecting batches which I’m used to in FCP (I have FCP 6.06) which is taking me hours.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can use the ‘copy’ function in the media manager next time. No relinking necessary.
For now, you have to match back by hand.

this should be working.
copying media can sometimes be a better way than the Media Manager,
as it just dumps ALL the copied media into one new folder.what can work is if you duplicate the folder structure of the original drive on the new one,
AND name the drives with the same name.so if you had DRIVE01 > FCP Documents > Capture Scratch > My Project on one drive,
use the same structure on the new one, if possible.but if it’s not working and you still have the original media, then using Media Manager might be simpler.
