Reconnecting media
First post ever!
I edited a 2 hour project for a client. I deleted my original files but kept the finished edits. Now whenever I open the project it says “media not connected”. I’ve had to recapture the media but when I go to reconnect it, it does so but it fills the empty media slots with media not intended to be in it’s place. What should I do?
Help.

Did all the clips have correct reel numbers and unique timecode?

That’s pretty strange…
I have a suggestion – not sure if this would give you any better results but it is what I would probably try in the event of having the same problem. Instead of capturing the offline clips from your browser – create a new bin and select everything on the timeline. Then drag all the clips from the timeline into that new bin you created. You should have just the clips in the timeline now in that bin. Try batch capturing these new clips and see if you have any better results.
