I edited a short project in FCP using a T2i and a seperate audio recorder, I did the rough with the original H.264 then rendered as Pro-Res but now I converted all the footage to ProRes and wanted to reconnect but when I click on just the video to reconnect it will sometimes say it is reconnecting a .wav file and vice versa for audio. This leads to a lot of issues with sync. How can I fix this?! PLEASE HELP!!

I think the only fix for this is going to a re-edit with a shot by shot eyeball match.

As you haven’t followed any kind of approved workflow your clips probably have no timecode reference or reel name. There is no way it will relink properly.

    It’s a good job it’s only a short project.
