  • reconnect media managed sequence (XDCam question)

what is the best workflow to reconnect a sequence which has been media managed…95% of the sequence is XDCam material which have been transferred in as .mov files. the managed sequence shows the same clip name for shots off the same master clip, as “clipname-1”, “clipname-2”, etc…

so this way doesn’t find the original media files, since the name has the hyphen…you have to manually locate each file to reconnect. The timecode of the clip is correct, just timeconsuming to reconnect it all by hand.

anyone have an easy workflow that will aid us in reconnecting the .mov files…the client supplies us with the original full res “log and transfer”-ed media files, and we do the media manage…since they work in proxy offline.
