reconnect media locks up system…anyone else see this?
Hi Kids
So I open a job, and i get the reconnect media box. i click reconnect and get the search/locate window. I say search and the search begins. i get a finder window with which to choose and when i click the finder window i immediately jump back to the search/locate window, and then i hosed. I click on cancel and nothing happens. i go back to finder window and click on cancel there and nothing happens. now there is no way to get back to ediitng as i cannot exit reconnect media. I tried lookiong for additional windows that need to be closed but no dice.
i opne the force quit dialog box, and FCP is running fine (no “not responding” message)
this seems to be occuring when i cant find media. when the systme searches and locates media its all good.
anyone else seeing this behavior?

Try trashing all three of the red and white icon’d files in your FCP user data folder and give it another go…

Hi, I have seen the same behavior frequently, but don´t know how to solve it. I tried trashing the files in User/Library/Preferences/FCP User data but didn´t work.
Any other solution?
