recommended system
Having a problem with juddery playback I have been told that my system is “far from the recommended specifications” which I am aware of. The application works perfectly in all respects except the playback of captured footage which is “notchy” in the extreme. I have tried importing .avi files captured in another app, and after avid has transcribed these they playback fine. Now I know that support is for recommended sytems only, but for a problem such as this perhaps someone can offer me narrower criteria? I am exploring the possibility that the firewire controller may be at the root of this. any ideas??

Can you list your specs? Computer, OS, RAM, video card, Avid version….
