Hello! I have ~100 hours worth of Quicktime HDV footage (captured in FCP) that needs to be transcoded for Premiere Pro. What codec should I transcode it into for the smoothest editing in Premiere Pro CS4?

    Thanks for your help!

The footage is not for me, but someone else who only has access to CS4. That is beyond my control.

    Any suggestions regarding my question?

It’s HDV footage captured in FCP as Quicktime? What codec?

If Cineform’s ‘Neoscene’ product is within budget, I’d opt for that. We’ve done tons of HDV conversions and Neoscene is FAST.

If you need a free solution, this thread may provide some help…
