Recommendation of sound effects collection?
I was wondering if anyone had a good recommendation of a woosh/hits pack. Looking for transition sounds – not too cymbal oriented – more wind type wooshes (think amazing race and survivor transitions)
I use sonic fire pro but it only comes with a limited cymbal pack and it’s pretty bad.
Any leads would be great – I didn’t know what forum to put this in – (i didn’t see a pro audio forum)

I would first take a look at free stuff which might fill the bill, on Findsounds.com. There’s a lot of stuff there.
As far as collections go, VideoCopilot has Designer Sound FX, which has a pretty nice collection of hits, whooshes, ets. for 99 dollars.
I tend to buy what I need at the time, and Pond5 has a massive collection of sound effects. Just a Whooshes search turns up 7800 sound effects, many of them 2 or 3 dollars each. You could rummage through there, and probably come up with everything you need for short money.

You can’t go wrong with Pond5. I just wish their search engine was a bit more robust. There are literally thousands of things to wade through, and just about all of it is great material.
