    Hi,
I’m looking at gettig a new 19″LCD monitor and was looking for some recommendations. Most of my work is in AE & C4D, but I also use Premiere a bit. I want to get a pretty good one. Should I just be looking at a fastresponse time? What other features would you recommend?
    Cheers for the help

    Look into Sony Brands.

I own one that has 10ms response, true blacks thanks to a double
back light and a 5-year no questions asked return policy if
ANYTHING goes wrong in that 5 years. Dead Pixels…etc…

    I got that 5-year warranty through fry’s/outpost.com

be prepared to spend around 600-700 for a good 19″ monitor.

anything cheaper will likely have dead pixels out of the box
or later on and will also probably have a slow response and lack
    of crisp picture.

We have the 19″ Planar LCD monitor on our G5. I personally am not a lover of LCD monitors, but the Planar monitors are nice.

how important is contrast ratio & brightness? I’ve foudn some good monitors with a low response time, but they differ in these specs. I also read that different companys use different scales to calculate their specs…so they are not very accurate to compare.

    Any further advice?
