I’ve room in the case for an internal (or not) and would like to use ‘Lightscribe’ to print the discs. Probably, since I’m buying one, I’d prefer to be able to burn 50 gigs vs 25 gigs. I’ve found a bunch for PCs but few for Macs. I’d output from PP to Encore, but I’d like to use it for backing up projects as well, so do I need special software?
    Thanks for any help

I would suggest, tentatively, a Plextor drive. Some of them do come with lightscribe and Plextor has, from the cd/dvd days, the reputation of burning discs that are less likely to be rejected from mastering houses. In recent times, they may be re-branding cheaper drives so take my suggestion with the caveat you may need to do some additional research before shelling out the ~$50 more they cost per-drive.
