  • Recapturing problems with Freeze-framed clips

I’m having yet another nightmare online/finishing experience with FCP
4.5. I have consolidated (using MM) an offline edit which was captured
as DV, then uprezzing it to uncompressed 10-bit. Everything
consolidates and redigitizes perfectly, EXCEPT for all the clips inthe
timeline which have been made into freezeframes using Shift-n. All the
freeze framed clips in the timeline seem to reference the right media,
but it displays a frame that is completely wrong from the original
    edit.

Is this a bug or a feature?

This isn’t such a big deal at the current moment (since the sequences
only have 2 freezeframes in them, respectively), but I KNOW there will
come a time when my offline editor will cut a sequence with hundreds
of freezeframes in it, then hand it off to me for finishing, whereupon
I will defenestrate myself out of the horror of having to eyematch all
    those still frames.

Is there a workaround for this?

    Aloha,
    mel
